The University of International Business and Economics (UIBE) is a national key university under the leadership of the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Commerce.

The University of International Business and Economics is a first-tier public research institution within the national key university “Double First Class University Plan”, the former 985 Innovative Platforms for Key Disciplines Project, and the former Project 211 and thus receives special support and endorsement from the Chinese government.

At present, UIBE is the only economic university in China been granted with four International Accreditations as EQUIS, AASCB, CAMEA and AMBA. It is competitive in subjects such as international trade, international law, finance, business management and foreign languages.

International Development of UIBE

As one of the first Chinese universities enrolling international students, UIBE plays a leading role in the development of international alliance with universities around the world.

So far UIBE has established partnerships with over 300 overseas universities and international organizations in 56 countries and regions, with a campus in Israel for undergraduate studies in business administration.

The university has established 10 Confucius Institutes globally.

Currently, UIBE is home to over 2,500 international students from all over the world.

Academic Strength

UIBE plays an important role in the research field of foreign economic and trade in China. It has more than 170 research units, among which China Institute for WTO Studies is a national Key Research Institution of Humanities and Social Sciences in Universities and the only one of its kind dedicated to the study of WTO.

UIBE sponsors and publicly publishes a variety of academic journals, among which “Journal International Trade”, “International Business”, “Journal of Japanese Study and Research” and “Journal of WTO and China” enjoy a high academic reputation.

UIBE Press publishes more than 100 kinds of books annually. It is one of the bases for training senior economic management cadres. It also has a number of senior on-the-job training institutions funded by the government or jointly with foreign countries.
